For more than sixty years the lawyers of Chown, Cairns have been providing superior quality legal services. Mackenzie Chown and Roy Cairns became associated in the practice of law in 1953. Four years later, they formed a partnership with Harry P. Cavers to create the law firm of Cavers, Chown and Cairns. In 1964, Harry Cavers was appointed a Judge and Robert B. Edgar joined the firm. Since then, Chown Cairns has grown steadily to become one of the largest and most respected law firms in the Niagara Peninsula. Chown Cairns continues to provide a complete range of legal expertise to individuals, business organizations, institutions and municipal governments.
We are very proud of our tradition of providing superior quality legal services to our many clients and to the community. Despite our exceptional reputation for providing superior quality legal services, we have not rested on our laurels but rather have always been committed to doing even better. We are proactive rather than reactive and are strongly committed to the principle that our provision of legal services should always add value to whatever transactions our clients may be involved in. Our philosophy has been and continues to be one of pushing the envelope – not just staying ahead of the curve.
