Amber Harwood

Amber was born and raised in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science with a Concentration in Public Law, and a Minor in Sociology from Brock University in 2017.

Amber attended law school in the Nation’s Capital, at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, and received her Juris Doctor with Double Concentrations in Social Justice, and in Aboriginal Law and Indigenous Legal Traditions in 2020. Amber was also the recipient of the prestigious Smart and Biggar LLP Scholarship, awarded to one outstanding student on the basis of excellent academic standing.

Amber began her career with Chown Cairns LLP as an Intern in 2017, through the Brock University Political Science Internship Program, where she was one of a select few chosen to participate in the program. Amber returned to the Firm as a Summer Law Student in 2019. She completed her Articles at another Niagara firm in 2021, and she was thrilled to rejoin Chown as an Associate Lawyer in 2021, following her Call to the Bar.

Amber looks forward to establishing her practice in the Niagara Region.
